Signon
There are 5 parameters to the information you receive from Envoy 100 every
time you sign on. You can use the SIGNON (SIG) field to make a selection
upon each of these parameters:
1. Whether or not to receive the banner `WELCOME TO ENVOY 100! YOUR
LAST ACCESS WAS....'
2. Whether or not to receive the notice to check monitored bulletin
boards.
3. Whether of not to receive an automatic SCAN <C029>of new messages
delivered to your mailbox; and if so, whether you wish to have a long
SCAN (full SCAN TABLE of information) or SHORT SCAN (A one-line summary
of new messages).
4. Whether of not to have specific Envoy 100 Commands executed for you
as part of the signon process. For example, you might wish to
CHECK a particular BULLETIN BOARD at every session, or receive an
immediate printout (READ!) of your new messages.
5. If you answer no to questions 1-4 above, the only thing you will see
at signon is a Command? prompt.
Note that when you use the SET Command to ALTER your signon procedure,
the new parameters will not be in effect until your next Envoy 100
session.
